HEINZMANN Holding is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Austrian company IFT GmbH with effect from the January 1, 2022. From this date forth, IFT has become a part of the HEINZMANN Group.

IFT GmbH was founded in 2011 by a group of experts, active in the field of engines and filter technology. In the meantime, IFT has become a globally active company which concerns itself with the development and production of high-quality and innovative oil mist separators and blow-by filters for combustion engines and plant equipment in various application fields: stationary and mobile power generation, marine propulsion and traction engines, off-highway  machinery and offshore installations. IFT remains an Austrian company and continues to operate from its office and production site in Tyrol, Austria and currently employs six people.

IFT adds value for HEINZMANN's customers

IFT’s field of activity ranges from the development, production and distribution of high-performance oil mist separators to other products such as a pressure limiter module. The basis for this is provided by various proprietary patents. Due to IFT’s unique technology, no filter replacements are required until an engine is overhauled. Comprehensive test bench and long-term field experience has fully confirmed the performance capacity and the reliability of the IFT blow-by filter. IFT stands for quality and sustainability. Customers will benefit from the increased efficiency of their engines by reducing oil consumption and maintenance as well as system costs. Furthermore, IFT products contribute to complying with current and future regulatory requirements.

HEINZMANN expands engine management accessory product range

HEINZMANN has more than 125 years of experience in speed governing of industrial combustion engines. The company offers a wide range of engine management systems, components and accessories these now being completed by innovative oil mist separators and blow-by filters of IFT.

Markus Gromer, CEO of the HEINZMANN Group, says: “Due to the increasing tightening of emission regulations and focused efforts towards increased efficiency, these innovative technologies will be in greater demand worldwide in the future. The products of IFT places great value on maximum environmental protection and resource conservation.”

HEINZMANN will in future be particularly involved in the area of product marketing and will support IFT GmbH in exploiting its potential to the full.

Company Profile IFT GmbH

IFT GmbH is a globally active company engaged in the development, production and distribution of high-quality blow-by filters. The IFT blow-by filters or IFT oil mist separators are absolutely maintenance-free and theoretically unlimited in their service life.

The proprietary technology is based on a novel process principle which causes coalescent particle separation by means of Brownian particle motion. By combining a number of patented features, the residual oil concentration after the oil mist separator can thus be reduced to well below 0.1 mg/m³, while at the same time providing unlimited filter service life and the lowest possible constant pressure behaviour. By combining a number of patented features, the residual oil concentration after the oil mist separator can thus be reduced to well below 0.1 mg/m³. At the same time unlimited filter service life and lowest possible constant pressure behaviour is provided. This means that permanent readjustment to stabilize the crankcase pressure becomes obsolete.

The company sees itself as a technology leader in the field of crankcase ventilation systems and oil mist separators, and is constantly engaged in establishing this improved state of the art.

IFT offers integrative total solutions, for example filter concepts with integrated, membrane-free pressure limiter, thermal internal insulation and support fan-based crankcase ventilation systems for large engines.

IFT stands for quality and sustainability, is certified according to ISO 9001 and attaches great importance to maximum environmental protection and resource conservation.

Many well-known engine manufacturers and plant operators now rely on the reliable and cost-saving products of IFT GmbH.
